Beltangady, Feb 18: Three bikes were stolen on the same day under the limits of Dharmasthala police station. All the bikes were stolen on Wednesday, February 14, in the night.
In the first incident, the bike of Baby, a resident of Mallarma of Dharmasthala village, which was parked in front of his house was stolen. When Baby got up in the morning he found his bike missing from the spot where he had parked it.
In the second incident, Akhilesh, a resident of Sullia, lost his bike. He had arrived at his relative’s house at Madmalkatte of Kalmanja village which is at the border of Dharmasthala. He had parked his bike near his relative's house. However, it was found missing when he checked in the morning. The value of the bike is estimated to be Rs 65,000.
In the third incident, Basavaraj, a pilgrim who had arrived from Koppala to Dharmasthala lost his bike. He had parked his bike near the Union Bank of India's ATM kiosk and slept nearby. However, he was shocked when his bike had been stolen when he woke up in the morning.
Police suspect that the same gang of thieves must have struck and they must have stolen all the three bikes in separate incidents.
