Kasargod, Dec 18: A young scientist, hailing from the district and employed at ISRO Bengaluru, succumbed to a cardiac arrest on December 15.
The deceased, Ashok (43) of Bettambare Soorlu, was recuperating at home post his knee surgery when he suddenly experienced a cardiac arrest, resulting in his demise.
Ashok is survived by his wife and two children. He received his primary education at Koodlu Gopalakrishna School, pursued his PU education at Kasargod Government College, and earned a diploma from Periya Polytechnic College.
Notably, Ashok was part of the team responsible for the successful launch of Chandrayaan. He was honored for this achievement during the Ganesha festival at Kasargod Ganesh Mandir.
