Doha, Oct 12: Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ), an associated organization of ICC, under the aegis of Embassy of India, Qatar organized ‘Ladies and Children Talent Search-2023’ event for all Karnataka based members residing in Qatar on October 6 at ICC-Ashoka Hall, Doha.
Over 110 participants showed their talents in various categories like dance (Hejje-Gejje), singing (SA RE GA MA PA), fancy dress, character playing, rangoli, pasta art and Siridhanya (Millets) recipe competitions.
In the evening, the valedictory function was conducted. Amina Qotba was chief guest of the evening and Sheikha Athba Al Thani and Sumaa Mahesh Gowda, head of cultural, Indian Cultural Centre were the guests of honour. KSQ president Mahesh Gowda and general secretary Pradeep Kumar escorted the chief guest and guests of honour to the dais. Addressing the gathering, Mahesh Gowda revealed the upcoming events of the KSQ. Mainly, he highlighted that the KSQ will hold a mega celebration of Karnataka Rajyotsava on November 3 at DPS School auditorium and in a main attraction, Sandalwood actor Ravichandran will grace the occasion along with one of ministers from Karnataka.
Chief guest Amina Qotba expressed gratitude and best wishes to the community.
ICC vice president Subramanya Hebbagilu, KSQ past president Veeresh Mannangi, community leader-cum-philanthropist Dr Ravi Shetty, community leader Mahesh Gowda, Tulukoota president Kiran Anand and Billawas Qatar president Raghunath Anchan were present on the occasion.
The programme continued with cultural events from the talented KSQ members. A dance was performed by the KSQ dancers which was highly appreciated by the audience. The dance was choreographed by Sanjana Jeevan. The whole event was successfully compered by KSQ Kannada class teacher Pradeep Kumar Dileep, along with KSQ-Kannada class students Drithi Agnihotri, Palghuni Pradeep Kumar, Chirag Shankar, Purujith Kiran Kumar and Shamitha Adiga. The stage programme was compered by Radika Pradeep Kumar.
The programme was well coordinated by cultural secretary Susheela kamalaksha, ladies’ wing coordinator Sanjana Jeevan, Savious Crasta, Manjoth Kumar, Nilesh Ranadevi, Mohan Kumar, Ranjith and Pradeep Kumar.
All the winners of competitions were awarded by the chief guest. The winners were awarded with certificates and trophies. The winners’ names are as follows:
