Mangaluru, Oct 12: The PG departments of Big Data Analytics and English at St Agnes College (Autonomous), organised a workshop on ‘Personality Development’ on October 10. The primary objective of this workshop was to convey to students the significance of continuously nurturing their personalities to align with the evolving times. The programme began with Sr Dr Vinora AC, the PG coordinator, addressing the audience and prompting students to reflect on their personal growth. She emphasised on the importance of self-improvement, and said that our skills play a pivotal role in leading meaningful lives.
Dr Malini Hebbar delved into concepts of etiquette, good manners, your attitude/reader's point of view, politeness, and euphemism. She engaged the audience with enjoyable and educational activities. Through interactive games, she emphasised on the point that there is no correct way of doing things and that respecting others opinions and perspectives is indicative of good manners. She stressed on the importance of language and the courteous use of words, tailored to the occasion.
In the second session, titled ‘Unleash Your Potential’, Akshatha Shetty, captured students' attention with fun games, infusing energy into the session. She highlighted the importance of optimising available resources, visualising success, and channelling energy toward problem-solving. She said that one needs to adopt the right actions and avoid the wrong ones. She encouraged students to expand their horizons with dedication, perseverance, hard work, time management, and organisational skills.
The students left the workshop inspired and motivated to think optimistically and continue their journey of personal growth and development.
