Mangaluru, Oct 10: Srinivas College of Pharmacy in association with Indian Pharmaceutical association, D K District, and Indian Drug Manufacturing Association, Mumbai has organised National cGMP day and Srinivas Medicinal plant garden inauguration on October 10.
Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, president, A Shama Rao foundation & chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru in his presidential remarks called the students to research medicinal use of indigenous medicinal plant for better healthcare.
Chief guest, Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro chancellor, Srinivas University and vice president, A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru, has appreciated the steps taken to develop medicinal garden and adopt good manufacturing practice for the better future.
Guest of honour, prof A. Mitra S Rao, trustee member, board of governors, Srinivas University & secretary, A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru called the students to nurture the medicinal plants and bring good yield.
Dr A R Shabaraya, principal, Srinivas College of Pharmacy and president, IPA, local branch, D K District, Mangaluru highlighted the importance of current good manufacturing practice and motive behind developing medicinal plant garden.
Dr Krishnananda Kamath, professor, dept. of Pharmaceutics gave a talk on current status of Indian Pharmaceutical Industry” and virtual tour to cGMP facilities of parental manufacturing.
Dr EVS Subrahmanyam, professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy detailed about Pharmacy Profession and proposed vote of thanks.
