Bahrain: ‘Manishada Yakshagana’ to be held on Oct 20

Bahrain, Oct 9: Yakshadhruva Patla foundation, which has come into existence to help poor and weak Yakshagana artistes had more than 35 branches in India and abroad. Now the Bahrain-Saudi branch is going to celebrate its third anniversary.

The programme is arranged under the title ‘Yaksha Sambhrama – 2023’ on October 20 at 5 pm at Kannada Bhavana auditorium of Manama. As part of the anniversary celebration Manishada Yakshagana play will be presented under the direction of Yakshaguru Deepak Rao Pejawara.

Renowned Chende drums player Rohit Ucchila, Yakshachandrike Shashikant Shetty Karkala and Yakshamayura Shekhar D Shettigar will arrive in Bahrain as guest artistes. Bhagavathike will be done by Patla Satish Shetty. Shashidhar Shetty Baroda, chief convener of the foundation will be the chief guest. The stage is named after late Bottikere Purushottam Poonja. His wife will be te honourable guest.

Preparations for the programme are in full swing. Yakshagana lovers of Bahrain will have a wonder world opening for them. Entry is open to all Yakshagana lovers of Bahrain.
