Beltangady: Holy Redeemer School students bring laurels in Athletics Meet

Beltangady, Oct 6: The Holy Redeemer School students have brought laurels by bagging many prizes in Beltangady - Bangady Cluster Level Athletic Meet held on Friday,October 6.

The Athletic meet was organised by the School Education and Literacy Department and Block Education Office of Beltangady, in SDM School, Ujire.

The meet was held in two categories. In the Class 8 category, Alston D'Silva secured first place in 200m, 400m and 600m running and was awarded Individual Championship. Vivan Pinto secured third place in 600m running. Rehanth, Alston D'Silva, Vivan Pinto, Ismail Muneesh and Prajwal secured first place in Relay.

In the Primary Boys category, Manvith of class 7 secured first place in Shotput and second place in Disc Throw.

Shreyas of class 7 secured second place in 600m and 400m running, Ananya of class 7 secured second place in High Jump, Abhish, Arvin, Sanath and Shreyas secured third place in Relay.

Athletes securing first and second places have qualified for the taluk level. The students athletes were well trained by physical education trainer Sharath Pinto. The correspondent and headmaster have congratulated and wished the athletes best in the next level.
