Mangaluru: MSNIM holds MSN Dialogue Series with author, academician M Aruna Shenoy

Media Release

Mangaluru, Oct 3: The Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM) organised a conversation with M Aruna Shenoy, author and academician, as a part of its popular MSN Dialogue Series on Friday, September 29 at the institute campus in Bondel.

The institute mentor and former RBI deputy governor Vittaldas Leeladhar introduced the guest and moderated the dialogue. Students and faculty of the institute attended the programme.

The MSN Dialogue Series comprises interactive events with achievers and corporate leaders hosted in a question-and-answer format to enable students to gain personal insights into the minds of top achievers.

This knowledge endeavour is named after the institution’s founder president, Manel Srinivas Nayak.

Responding to the questions posed by Leeladhar, Aruna Shenoy traced her life journey in the small town of Erode in Tamil Nadu and how she has become an author today. She motivated the students to cultivate the habit of visiting the library and reading books, even though one can get information at thier fingertips today.

“Books can give us an experience that gadgets cannot. The library loves you, and you should love it back,” she said. “I have learned much more outside the classroom than what was taught inside. Be curious and learn to ask questions. Have a passion. Nurse it within you and explore. Learn the skills necessary to put your passion into action,” she added, and advised the students to open themselves to the influence of inspiring teachers.

Manel Annappa Nayak, president, WNES, past president Kudupi Jagadish Shenoy, Jeevandas Narayan, secretary, WNES, and correspondent MSNIM, K V Raghav Kamath, member of the governing body of MSNIM, and Prakash Shenoy were present.

Assistant professor and programme coordinator Archana Kamath welcomed the gathering. Students Amritha, Kavya, and Shreeraksha led the invocation. Institute director Dr Molly S Chaudhuri gave the vote of thanks. Aparna Shenoy compered the programme and introduced the institute.
