Mangaluru: Expert PU College Valachil celebrates Gandhi Jayanthi

Mangaluru, Oct 2: Expert PU College Valachil celebrated the Gandhi Jayanthi, the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on Monday, October 2.

After offering a floral tribute to Gandhiji and Shastriji , Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal of the college addressed the gathering and said that Gandhiji's followers are found across the world and their philosophy and ideals have relevance beyond time and space.

SubramanyaUdupa, vice-principal (academics) opined that the ideals of Gandhiji and Shastriji continue guide the youth for generations.

Gurudath N, coaching head, advised the students to inculcate the messages given by Gandhi and Shastri in their life.

Monish P Gowda, a student of M2 batch spoke about Gandhiji's tenets of non violence and peace.G Chandan, a student of M2 batch shared his opinion on LalBahadhurShastri and his slogan 'Jai Jawan and Jai Kisan'.

Raghavendra Shenoy, vice-principal (admin) and other faculty members were present.

Hemal Sagar, a student of M2 batch welcomed and compered the programme. Rishith R Shekar of M2 batch proposed a vote of thanks.
