Mangaluru: Gandhi Jayanti celebration held at St Ann’s PU College

Mangaluru, Oct 2: Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated at St Ann’s PU College to mark the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi famously known as the Mahatma.

The programme began with a prayer service followed by a prayer dance to the tune of ‘Vaishnav jan to tene kahiye’. Significance of the day was presented through a PPT. A dance performance highlighting the simplicity of 'Bappu' was followed by a dance drama on his life.

A group song ‘Sabarmati ke Santh’ concluded the beautiful programme. The principal in her message urged the students to emulate the values of truth and non-violence exemplified by the Mahatma.

The programme was compered by Inash, Hiba and Bindu. Vote of thanks was proposed by Fazima.
