Mangaluru, Oct 2: Mangalore: Expert PU College, Valachil, conducted a career guidance programme, 'Edupath Lecture Series' for the students on the topic 'A Technological and Scientific Milestone in Indian Science" at the cultural centre on September 30.
Dr Ishwar Chandra, C H, dean, GMRT Observatory, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (National Centre of the Government of Nuclear Science and Mathematics) - National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, S P Pune University Campus Pune, as the resource person, explained the importance of radio astrophysics and its future.
He said that astrophysics courses hold a massive scope in the future and it creates curiosity and helps to know about planets, stars, galaxies and other astronomical objects.
At the end, the enthusiastic students interacted with Dr Ishwar Chandra with numerous queries and got convincing clarifications.
Ankush N Nayak, director, Information Technology of Expert Group of Institutions, honoured the resource person with a memento.
Raghavendra Shenoy, vice principal (admin), Subramanya Udupa vice-principal (academics), Gurudatt, coaching head, and other faculty members were present.
Abhinand Biju, president, students' council welcomed the guest and compered the programme.
