Mangaluru: ‘NERVIO’ model-making, poster presentation competition, fair held at Srinivas University

Mangaluru, Sep 16: Under the direction of Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University, and Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro chancellor of Srinivas University, to hold events to improve students' abilities and skills in the institutions, Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University, Mukka organized ‘NERVIO’ model making and poster presentation competition and exhibition on September 9 in the 3rd floor engineering block, Srinivas University, Mukka.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr Beena H B, dean, IAHS and Prof Pavana Krishnamoorthy, dean, IAHS.

The programme was followed by two events. The first event was a model making competition and the theme for the model competition was ‘Neuro Anatomy Model’ and 7 students from department of neuroscience technology SIAHS participated in this event and displayed their talent in making various models related to neuroanatomy. The second event was a poster presentation competition, the theme for the competition was ‘Modern trends in Neuroscience’ and 6 students from department of neuroscience technology SIAHS participated in this event and displayed their talent in making various posters related to modern trends in neuroscience.

Students from various departments of SIAHS attended the model and poster exhibition.

Judges for the event were Sahana Patil, assistant professor, department of anatomy and Harshitha D, assistant professor, department of psychology SIAHS.

The winners of the competition were first prize in model competition Siya Manoj K K (2nd year NS) and second prize Dilsa V V. In the poster presentation, the first prize was bagged by Thameema Amal Younus (1st year NS) and second prize by Hafeela Jannath P P (1st year Neuroscience).
