Mangaluru, Aug 18: As we celebrate India’s 77th Independence Day 2023 on August 15, it’s a moment to reflect on our incredible journey as a nation. We’re celebrating the spirit that has shaped our diverse land into a thriving democracy. This day is a tribute to the sacrifices of our ancestors and a reminder of the ideals that bring us together. Let’s renew our commitment to a future filled with unity, growth, and prosperity.
On 14-08-2023, The National Service Scheme of INSTITUTE OF PORT SHIPPING AND LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT according to proposed plan had organized a Poster making competition which was held on the occasion of 77th Independence Day of India . The Theme was “Patriotism” - 1. Strength of India. 2. Standing of India Among Nations of the world. 3. Achievements of India. 4. University Diversity.
India is a land of great political leaders who ruled the country effectively by protecting its national interest. The objective of the competition was to address the feeling of patriotism among the students and it wasservedup to the best.Around 16 groups of our college had participated in the event with full zeal, enthusiasm and love towards the mother land. The Whole event was organized on 14th August , 2023 from 1:30 p.m to 2:30 p.m . The students expressed their views and thoughts about the great leaders by drawing, writing slogans and quotes on the Independence Day. One could see and feel the enthusiasm that the students had in their presentation. This activity kept the student engaged and it was organized to explore and encourage creativity in students and offer them a platform to showcase their skills. It inspired them to think and work creatively in order to promote artistic excellence. They came up with amazing creativity. Their efforts and initiative was appreciated by one and all. The final judgment was made by the internal and externalJudges namely, Prof Joyson P Cardoza, Assistant Professor from Institute of Social Science and Humanities(ISSH), Srinivas University and Prof. Nelson Periera, Head of the Department, Institute of Port Shipping and Logistics Management (IPSLM). The rubrics for judgment were: Originality, Clarity of expression, Uniqueness, Close to the Theme.
The first prize was shared by 2 groups- Group1 Anupama KS, Anushree, Abay Pillai , Arjun students of Ist year logistics and Group 3 Faizan , Sharbaaz, Mehfooz , Ahad , Safrath , Nuzaimheld the first position.
We are grateful to our Dean, Dr Sonia Delrose Noronha for giving us the opportunity to conduct the event as a part ofIndependence Day celebration. We also thank our HOD Prof Nelson Perira for his constant support and Guidance in conducting this event. Lastly, we thank all our faculty members and student volunteers for this assistance and support.
