Mangalore, Jul 28: A press release signed by JD(S) state secretary M G Hegde and president of district JD(S) unit stated that the food and civil supply department has caused a lot of problems to the common man in the process of finding out illegal LPG connections.
They urged that the process should be continued at least for one month and it should be clearly stated as to which is illegal and which is not.
They also demanded for action to be taken against a few distributors who have not been delivering the cylinders to the customers. A government order should be issued to cancel the permission of those distributors who distribute cylinder illegally. In case of failure of the same, JD(S) will hold protests against the government for its leniency towards such illegal activities, the release stated.
