Mulky: BJP Activists Picket Police Station, Demand Action Against Assaulters

Mulky, Jul 27:
BJP activists here picketed the Mulky police station on Tuesday July 26, urging the police to arrest the accused in connection with the assault on BJP activists in Lingappayyakadu of Mulky and the alleged life threats to BJP leaders of Mulky.

Siddappa who was working in a shop belonging to Manjunath of Lingappayya Kadu was allegedly assaulted by Loki alias Lokesh and Munna alias Mahesh over some past issue between them. At that time local BJP leader Shailesh had admitted Siddappa to hospital and filed a complaint in the Mulky police station.
 
But Mulky police did not take any action on them, moreover Munna called Shailesh over the phone and threatened him, which infuriated the local BJP activists.
 
Bowing down to pressure put by the protestors, the police later registered a case. It is said that the accused had used political influence to avert any action.
 
Local BJP leaders Eshwar Kateel, Satish Bhat, Kasturi Panja, Vinod Bolkuru, Sathish Anchan among others were present.
