Mangaluru: Padua College Pre- University organizes Cabinet Inaugural Day

Mangaluru, Jun 29: The Padua College Pre- University Cabinet Inaugural Day was organized on June 24 in the college auditorium.

P B Harish Rai, eminent journalist and the president of Mangalore Press club was the chief guest. In his message, he outlined that the sole purpose of education should not be employment rather education should be seen a way of life. When a student develops confidence, social responsibility, he is able to grow as a massleader.

He also had a word of praise for the contribution of Padua Education Institutions towards the education of the poor and lower middle class youth of South Kanara irrespective religion, caste and creed. He also outlined that the Student’s Organizations should act responsibly and contribute towards the country’s development.

The principal, Marriette Mascarenez, read the oath and College Students’ representatives took the oath. Viketh Poojary, CPL of Padua Pre- Univesity College thanked the students for electing him and promised that he would work for the betterment of all the students.

In his short message, the president of the programme, Fr Arun Wilson Lobo, the principal of the Padua college of Commerce and Management told that that along with education, the students should be disciplined to become good leaders and contribute for the development of the country.

Praven Rai Kukkavali, co-ordinator for the College Cabinet Council, Cauveri T, and Rajani Ajith were the dignitaries on the stage. Deena Vas, the assistant CPL welcomed the guests. Austin Glenn read the Vote of thanks. Aran Preetham Martis, president of college cultural club compered the programme.
