Mangaluru: Government First Grade College Kavoor organizes annual sports meet

Mangaluru, Jun 27: Annual Sports Meet of GFGC Kavoor was held on June 27 at Mangala Stadium, Mangaluru. Dr Aparna Alva, Physical Education director, GFGC Car Street was the chief guest during the inaugural. Dr Shivarama P, principal presided over the inaugural, Kuldeep Naik, dept of Physical Education (GF) welcomed the gathering and Mohini, dept of Commerce proposed the vote of thanks. The inaugural programme was eloquently compered by Deeksha of II BBA.

During the day track and field events like 1500 meters, 800 meters, 400 meters, 200 mtrs, 100 meters, Long jump, High jump, Discuss throw, Shotput and Javelin throw were held apart from 4X100mts relay for both boys and girls. Francis Lara Siddi of I BA and Krithika of II BCom were declared as individual champions in the male and female category respectively.

The entire day was well planned and executed by Kuldeep Naik with whole hearted support of all the teachers who worked tirelessly for the success of this day. The Flag Lowering Ceremony was presided by Dr Geetha M L, professor and head, dept of Commerce & Management.
