Mangaluru, Jun 13: YIASCM department of hospitality science hosted a grand farewell ceremony for the students of the IVth Batch of BSc Hospitality Science (2020-2023) on Saturday, June 10 at YIASCM Balmatta. The faculty and the students of the department organised the event, to bid a lively and joyful farewell.
The ceremony commenced with a grand welcome to all the outgoing students. Followed by an address by the principal Dr.Arun A Bhagwath, who has always generously imparted his wisdom to the students and guided them towards the right path. He expressed his desire to see all the students at the great height of success.
Mervin Jaison Vas, HOD-Department of Hospitality Science, Harsha Raj and Akshatha G, faculty convenors along with Afnan Moosa and AlwinEldho, the student board president and secretary, inaugurated the event by cutting the cake. The beautiful evening was arranged with melodious songs which were sung by the students and exciting games were arranged, followed by the formal dinner prepared by the students of the current batch under the guidance of Chef MedhaPai.
At the end of the session, Mervin Jaison Vas-HOD addressed the students and wished them happy farewell and all success for their future endeavours. He stressed the values which have been imparted by the institution to the candidates, that to be implemented in future endeavours and the candidate should grow high and make their Alma Mater proud.
The achievers were awarded with certificates and the mementos were handed over by all the faculty members to the outgoing batch of students as a token of gratitude.
Fathima Nida compered the event and Reshma proposed the vote of thanks.
