Mangaluru, Jun 7: The intensity of waves has increased at Ullal, Someshwar and Uchila seashore since early morning on Wednesday June 7 due to the Biparjoy cyclone. Home guards are sending back under security as per directions from the district administration tourists arriving at Ullal and Someshwar sea shore.
The effect of the cyclone could be seen at the areas closer to the sea shore since this morning. Huge waves are beating the sea shore and the rocks with force.
The district administration has asked people to be cautious at Kotepur, Kodi, Mogaveerapatna, Kaiko, Hilarianagar, Summer Sand, Someshwar, Uchila and Battampadi. Local station police and home guards are deployed at the spots.
The Biparjoy cyclone forming at the Arabian Sea will proceed to the north and will hit Goa and Mumbai coasts. Meanwhile there will be heavy rain at Kerala and Maharashtra coastal region. There will be cloudy weather at Karnataka coast from June 8 to June 10. Bangladesh has named the cyclone as Biparjoy, stated the Indian Meteorological Department.
