Beltangady: Bus-scooter collision on Charmadi ghat; rider killed, pillion seriously injured

Beltangady, Jun 6: In an accident that occurred at the third bend on Charmady ghat on Monday evening between a bus and a scooter, the rider of the scooter was killed and pillion rider got seriously injured.

The KSRTC bus was going to Harapanahalli while the scooter-borne riders were coming towards Charmady. The deceased is identified as Irfan (21), resident of Balehonnur Magandi. Pillion rider Avin (22) also of Balehonnur is grievously injured and was given first aid at private hospital of Kakkinje and taken to Mangaluru for higher treatment.

Beltangady traffic police have registered a case in this connection.
