Kundapur, Jun 3: “The sexual harassment meted out on the women wrestlers, who have represented India at international level, has made India bow its head in shame. Accuse, BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh should be arrested immediately,” said leader of farmers’ association Chandrashekhar V.
Chandrashekhar spoke at the protest meeting that was held on Friday held by United Kisan Morcha, CITU, KPRS, JMS, AIAWU, DHS, DYFI and other organizations. He further said, “Union government is following anti-women police since the beginning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi who talks about 'Mann Ki Baat' does not speak a word on the injustice meted out to the women wrestlers. Home minister Amit Shah is silent on the issue. During the inauguration of new parliamentary building also they neglected President of India, who is the top woman of the country. This shows the anti-women policy of union government.
“The police who registered POCSO case after the Supreme Court intervened have not arrested the accused so far. Protests throughout the country will continue till the accused is punished.”
Ramesh Gulvadi welcomed the gathering. Suresh Kallagara, Narasimha, Shankar, Sheelvathi, Balkis Banu, Ravi, Raj, Ramesh, Asha, Ganesh and Dhanu Kundapur were present.
