Mangaluru: Indira Education Trust celebrates Graduation Day

Mangauru, May 1: The colleges under the Indira Education Trust, Falnir, Mangalore, celebrated their graduation day at 10.00 am on 29th April 29, Saturday at Milagris Jubilee Hall, Mangalore.

The programme was started with an invocation song, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The guests, parents, students, and faculty members were welcomed by Evansaralin Warjri, Lecturer, Indira Nursing College.

The chief guest for the event was Dr N Ramakrishna Reddy, registrar (Evaluation), Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru. The guest of honour, Prof Dr U T Ifthikar Ali, former syndicate member, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru.

The other dignitaries on the dias were Dr Greesha Jose, principal of the Nursing College, Dr N Geoviya George (PT), principal Incharge of Physiotherapy College, Krithika, Principal Incharge of Allied Health Sciences, Ramiza, principal Incharge of Paramedical Sciences.

The annual report of the colleges was read by the concerned principal and principal Incharges of the colleges. The chief guest of the function Dr N Ramakrishna Reddy, registrar (Evaluation), Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru shared his wisdom on the importance of healthcare professionals and the enormous contribution given by Dr U T Ifthikar Ali for the development of the profession.

This day was marked by awarding of certificates to the graduating students of MSc Nursing, BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences. Students of Paramedical Sciences were awarded diplomas certificates. On this day, the students were recognised for their academic and extracurricular performances.

The vote of thanks was given by Siji Augustine, associate professor, Indira Nursing College. The graduation day was concluded with the national anthem and photo session.
