Mangaluru: Competition on 'Unveiling Products for Sustainability' held

Mangaluru, Apr 12: The Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organised, a competition on “Unveiling Products for Sustainability” on April 11. Nelson Marwin Fernandes, assistant professor,Post Graduate Department of Commerce and convener of the session introduced the faculty and students for the program. The objective of the session was to give the students a platform to showcase their innovativeness towards building a unique brand. The session also helped the students to brainstorm and analyze the methods of developing and introducing the brands to the market. 12 teams participated in the competition.

The competition started with a prayer song by Merin V M and Fredvin Joyston Crasta, M Com. first year students followed by presentation by different teams. Various brands names were identified through the competition like Niya Beauty, Techno Wardrobe, Fly U Umbrella, Rolkith- Prescription Candy, Mist-Maker, Go Infinite, Mail-Tailor, Sheina, Pest Police etc. The First Year Post Graduate Commerce students were among the audience. The prize winners were Khathijathul Kubra Rasheeqa and Rynish Treeza Dalmeida.

Melson D'Souza, assistant professor, Department of BBA gave away the prizes. Dr Dolan Champa Banerjee, head of PG Department of Commerce proposed a vote of thanks.
