Mangaluru, Apr 4: Srinivas University, Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, Pandeshwar conducted 31st annual food festival 'HOG – 2K23' on of March 31.

Dr A Srinivas Rao, honorable pro-chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru and vice president, A Shama Rao Foundation inaugurated the festival. Dr P S Aithal, vice chancellor, Srinivas University, Dr Anil Kumar, registrar, Dr Ajay Kumar, registrar (Development), Upendra Singh Rawat, general manager, Srinivas Verda Saffron, Mangaluru were the guests of honour.

Prof Swaminathan S, dean, Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism, deans and staff of the sister institutions were also present on the occasion.

The annual food fest is being organised since 1992 to expose all the hotel management students to the intricacies and nitty gritties of event management. Students get to experience the various fields like sales & marketing, food production, F&B service, purchasing and other management skills.

Flaring & juggling, cultural programme, mouth-watering delicacies were the highlights of the evening.
