Udupi, Mar 30: The JEE-NEET Foundation course was inaugurated at Silas International School on March 27. Jacintha D’Costa, principal Silas International School and Dr Annapurna Rao, principal Mahesh PU College presided over the function. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp and cutting the ribbon to reveal the banner. Geetha, course coordinator guided the students and parents about the significance and the plan of the course.
Jacintha D'Costa in her address touched upon various points that brought out the reasons for the school to take this initiative. Parents were made aware of the need to begin with this coaching as early as grade 8 and 9 in order to give time to the students to prepare well for the competitive exams. More time, undoubtedly would give the students an opportunity to get comfortable with the syllabus and the techniques to ace these exams. In- house coaching would save time and energy that would be spent in going to various centers. By starting early coaching, the students would get the added advantage of preparing for the board exams with relatively less pressure with regard to the competitive exams.
