Mangaluru: VTU inter collegiate men, state level women netball tournament inaugurated

Mangaluru, Mar 29: VTU inter collegiate, 2022-23, Rest of Bengaluru Division Men Netball and State Level Women Netball tournament was inauguratedon March 29 at SJEC ground under the banner of department of physical education, SJEC.

Fr Alwyn Richard D’Souza, assistant director of SJEC graced the occasion as the chief guest and Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, director of SJEC, was the president of the programme. Dr Rio D’Souza, principal of SJEC, Dr Purushothama Chippar, vice principal and Dr Ramananda H S, dean Student Welfare, SJEC were the guest of honour. Rakesh Lobo, HR manager of the college along with Poornesh M, sorts advisor and Vaneesha Rodrigues, PED were present during the inaugural programme.

The programme started with an invocation and Mr Poornesh M welcomed the gathering. Addressing the gathering, the chief guest and president of the programme wished the participating teams good luck.

Vaneesha Rodrigues delivered the vote of thanks. Joel D’Mello and Smitha D’Souza compered the programme.

The tournament witnessed participation of student teams from various institutions affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) displaying their skills and competencies making the tournament more challenging and interesting.
