Raichur, Jun 25: Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa also joined the tirade of non-Congress state CMs blasting central government for hiking Rs 3 per litre of diesel.
Addressing a public programme here on Saturday June 25, Yeddyurappa said that the centre has been following anti-poor policy and hence has no moral right to continue in power. The price of fuel has seen a rise frequently during the regime he said and warned of a statewide protest if the prices of diesel, LPG and kerosene are not revised with
immediate effect.
Meanwhile, state BJP plans to take to streets in a protest against petrol price hike. The people in places such as Hubli, Shimoga and Bijapur are already showing intense protest. It is learnt that main reason for people's outrage is rise in LPG price and kerosene, the
basic need of the people.
Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Gujarat CM Narendra Modi and other BJP ruled states have already expressed outrage on fuel price hike.
