Mangaluru, Mar 20: The Pontifical Missionary Children's Association at St Antony Church Kulur was inaugurated on March 19. The director of Pontifical Mission Organization, Fr Rupesh Tauro conducted an interactive session to all the children of 4- 9 standard students.
The session commenced with the introductory video on the theme song of Missionary Children's Association. During the session Fr Rupesh Tauro elaborated the history, aim and purpose of Pontifical organization.
The origin of this mission organization was briefly explained. The association meetings and its procedure was elucidated by the director. The valuable session was continued with the holy mass. Holy mass began with the procession, where the Holy Bible, flower, clock, mirror, plant and globe were represented as the symbol of service, love and kindness.
The dignitaries of the day, Fr Vincent D'Souza - parish priest, Fr Rupesh Tauro - director of Pontifical Missionary Organization, Fr Arun Mendonca, deacon, Robin Santhumayer, animators - Sr Jovita and Suzannha, two student representatives lit the lamp and officially inaugurated the Pontifical Missionary Organization.
The mass was presided by Fr Tauro. The badges of missionary organization were distributed as the sign of official membership of the association. St Antony Church, Kulur is currently having 65 active members in the pontifical organization. The association will have its meetings on third Sunday of every month conducted by the animators.
