After a seven-month investigation, Judge D Vinay of the District and Sessions Court FTSC-1 found Guruva guilty and sentenced him to imprisonment and a fine. If he fails to pay the fine, he will have to serve an additional year in jail. The court also ordered the district legal service authority to provide the victim with Rs 1 lakh in compensation.
