Mangaluru, Mar 11: National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Milagres College Mangaluru had organised a 7-day annual special camp from March 10 to March 16 at St Thomas Church Higher Primary School, Chelur, Bantwal. On March 10, the inauguration of the camp was held.
The parish priest Fr Micheal D’Slva of St Thomas Church, Chelur inauguarated the camp by planting a sampling. He blessed the gathering and addressed them. He also said this is an opporunity to experience how village people work and earn their bread.
Fr Bonaventure Nazarath, correspondant, presided over the programme, Milagres Educational Institutions addressed the gathering. He said, “We do not need a certificate to be in nature but instead we take a lot of best experience along with us." He also motivated students to render service to the society.
Fr Michael Santhumayor, principal presided over the programme. He addressed the gathering and shed light on the functioning of NSS and encouraged the volunteers to actively participate.

Shravya N, the NSS programme officer welcomed the gathering and Vinith Fernandes, the secretary of NSS propsed the vote of thanks. Sushmitha, NSS voluteer compeered the programme.
As many as 51 volunteers are a part of the camp.
