Beltangady: Anugraha Educational Institutions celebrates 74th Republic Day

Beltangady, Jan 26: Anugraha Educational Institutions Ujire, celebrated the 74th Republic Day with great exuberance on the school grounds. The chief guest Walter Sequeira, ex-serviceman, accompanied by the principal and other dignitaries unfurled the national flag followed by the national anthem and he was given a grand escort by the school band.

The choir then sang to the melodious patriotic song pulsating a sense of patriotism in the atmosphere. There was an eye catching display of mass drill and march past by the students promising to keep pride and love for the country as strong as ever.

The chief guest Walter Sequeira speaking on the occasion greeted the audience and appreciated them for being responsible citizens and partaking in the celebration of the Republic Day. He also motivated the students to join the Indian Army. Walter Sequeira was felicitated during the programme.

Alron Fernandes of V Std made a neat little speech which was very impressive. The principal Fr Vijay Lobo addressing the students said, "Take constitution as your own. Value this constitution and be a part of our nation’s progress."

Antony Fernandes, vice president of the parish pastoral council, Praveen Fernandes, member of management committee, and Ravi Kumar, headmaster were present on this occasion.
