Muscat, May 29: Sharal Menezes a young talent in the 12th standard of the Indian School, Al Ghubra (ISG) in Oman has been chosen by her school to attend the Global Young Leaders Conference (GYLC) at Washington DC and New York in USA from July 3 to July 14 this year.
Sharal is a very talented student academically and has won accolades in her school and at various events globally.
GYLC gives the highest achieving students in the age group of 15 to 18 years a greater understanding of their roles as global ambassadors, while analyzing concepts surrounding communications, diplomacy, law, human rights, peace, security, economics and the role of the United Nations.
Sharal will return home from GYLC with a greater understanding of her role and responsibility as citizen and future leader in an international community. During the conference, she will get the opportunity to explore cultural difference, absorb diplomatic skills, build confidence and enhance decision making skills in an exciting atmosphere.
Sharal has participated in Round square Sr Regional conference held in December 2010 at King’s Academy, Jordan. As an active and concerned delegate, she put forth her views very strongly on the water problem being faced by the natives of Jordan.
Sharal has also contributed genuinely to community service programs run by the school.
Sharal is the proud elder daughter of Stany Menezes and Flavy Menezes who hail from Mangalore diocese’s Pangla parish which is very famous for its Jasmine flowers, and Sharal is a true young jasmine spreading the fragrance of her talent internationally.
