Mangaluru, Jan 5: On the special occasion of the decennial annual day Celebration of St Aloysius Gonzaga School on December 20, Shinead Fernandes, a 15-year-old girl released her second book 'The Search' which is a six book-long series called Celestium. Her maiden book 'The Incident' was written during the lockdown and was released on February 24, 2022.

Born to Sharal and Samith Fernandes, Shinead Fernandes is a student of class IX at St Aloysius Gonzaga School. Her journey as a fictioneer began a little more than two years ago, to be precise in 2019. Her inspiration and the key to her desire of writing have always been books themselves. She has been a vigorous reader since the age of eight. Her goal is to reach out to as many readers as possible in India and abroad and for people to read and love her books as she loves them, and even inspire people into writing.

During the release programme, provincial of Karnataka Jesuit province Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ, rector of St Aloysius Institutions Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto, founder principal of St Aloysius Gonzaga School Grace Noronha, former rector Fr Denzil Lobo, the principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ and vice principal Laurel D’Souza of St Aloysius Gonzaga School were present.
