Mangalore, May 24: MLA, U T Khader, said that the state Chief Minister (CM), B S Yeddurappa, lacks the moral authority to criticize Congress leaders, M Veerappa Moily, and B Janardhan Poojary.
“Former union minister, Janardhan Poojary, enjoys an unblemished reputation of working tirelessly for the poor people all over the country even now. He never sought any favours, not even a government site. It is condemnable that the CM chose an honest politician like Poojary, whose conscience is crystal clear, to heap criticisms,” he felt.
At the same time, he pointed out that Veerappa Moily has made immense contributions to the country, state, and the district. He also felt that Yeddyurappa does not have the eligibility to speak anything against Moily. He said that the CM was wrong in casting unjust aspersions on veteran politicians like Poojary and Moily.
He blamed the CM for failing to address problems like construction of protective wall against sea erosion, payment of monthly pensions to handicapped people, Sandhya Suraksha scheme etc, during his visit here. “The CM is only worried about losing power. Therefore, he passed unsavoury comments against these leaders, without doing anything constructive or concrete for the suffering people,” he analyzed.
