Bangalore, May 24 (PTI) Arjun Maini emerged as the fastest racer from among 14 drivers, who qualified for the national finals of Force India's 'One From A Billion' hunt programme, aimed at unearthing country's next F1 driver.
Arjun was also the only participant in this regional round to break the 26 second barrier as he clocked his fastest lap in 00:25.97 seconds.
Rubeel Saleem and Nikhil Kashyap were tied for the second fastest lap time with a timing of 00:26.06
Masood Mohammed, who had come all the way from Dubai to participate, was the fourth fastest.
The national finals, scheduled to be held in September will have 100 finalists, 14 from each of the seven regional rounds plus two wild card entries.
The final 10 racers will move on to the next level of the programme, the Silverstone Finale.
