Kasargod: Gang Rape of Beggar – Three Held

Kasargod, May 20: On the allegation of gang-raping a beggar aged 18, the police have arrested three persons. These three reportedly took away this young beggar in an auto rickshaw, before gang-raping her.

The arrested have been identified as Abdul, a resident of Muttatam in Kozhikode, Babu from Rekiner Tekkekulangara, and Zacharia from Marad Mangassery.

The beggar used to beg near Kozhikode bus stand. The three have been charged with abducting and raping her. After the beggar was exhausted, they reportedly deserted her near a bridge before fleeing. On a complaint filed by the woman, a case has been registered by the police.
