Udupi: Man Meets Watery Grave at Malpe Beach

Udupi, May 20: A person named Vincent from Mudarangady (38) near Padubidri in the district was washed away by giant waves when he was taking bath at Malpe beach near here on Thursday May 19. Vincent was working as a waiter in Hotel Parijata, Malpe.

Vincent had visited the beach in the company of Manohar Hegde from Kaleelabeedu Uliyaragoly Kaup. Nothing could be done to save him, as Vincent was dragged into the sea by the wave all of a sudden. Although a search operation was launched immediately, his body could not found. By Thursday evening, his body was found to have been deposited on the seashore at Potnala in Tottam near here.

On a complaint filed by Manohar Hegde in this respect, Malpe police have registered a case.
