Bantwal: Buses Collide – Passengers Injured

Bantwal, May 13: 12 passengers were injured after two private buses collided with each other at Bandittadka of Kanyana village near Vittal on Thursday May 12 afternoon. A bus that was returning after dropping off members of a marriage party, and the other one, moving towards Bedagudde, got involved in a head-on collision.

Out of the 12, 11 injured passengers were provided treatment as outpatients at a hospital in Karopady village, while the other passenger, Vandana (20), was admitted into a hospital in Mangalore, as she was bleeding from her nose.

The injured have been identified as Sneha (7), Mooseja (57), Sundar (60), and Devaki (60) from Kasargod,  Yashoda (28) from paivalike, Sarojini (38) and Kamala (37) from Muguli, and bus cleaner, Yatish (23) from Mittanadka.
