Sullia: Murder of A S Ramakrishna – Hunt for Other Accused On

Sullia, May 12: The policemen have launched an all out hunt for Vaman, who had allegedly played a role in the murder of KVG Medical College administrative officer, A S Ramakrishna. Vaman, a native of Polali, was attending to plumbing work in KVG Group of Educational Institutions here.

Vaman faces the charge of collecting from Dr Renuka Prasad, main accused, and delivering the amount contracted for eliminating the administrative officer, to the hired killers, Sharan and Shankar. District superintendent of police, Labhu Ram, said that Vaman has gone into hiding after learning about the arrest of the other accused, and exuded confidence of nabbing him within a couple of days.

Police sources said that involvement five more people is suspected, as per information extracted from the accused in police custody. Two employees working for the educational institutions controlled by Dr Renuka Prasad, and three Mangalore-based persons are proposed to be arrested. It is gathered that the policemen took those in the police custody to several places in the coast, based on information given by them about their activities.
