Mangalore, May 12: The coast continued to reel under immense heat and humidity on Wednesday May 11. Scorching sun compelled people to stay indoors during the afternoon, except for compelling reasons.

Subrahmanya, Kadaba and some surrounding villages in Dakshina Kannada district received heavy rain along with thunder and lightning in the evening. Sullia, and Naravi in Beltangady taluk, received some rain.

There are no reports or rains from other parts of the twin-districts.
