Bangalore: Notorious Rowdy Akram Shot Down by Policemen

Bangalore, May 4: Notorious rowdy, Akram, was shot down by the policemen in a pre-dawn operation today early hours at HMT Lay Out here. Akram was facing over 40 cases in different police stations, relating theft, robbery, smuggling of timber, abduction, murder, etc.

Akram allegedly had fired at Dhanaraj in Kengeri, and killed Nanjundappa in Moodalapalya. Both of them were suspected police informers.

Joint commissioner of police, Alok Kumar, visited the spot. The policemen have recovered a sword and bank passbook belonging to Akram from the car in which he was fleeing. The policemen fired three rounds at him.
