Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School organizes career guidance for PU students

Mangaluru, Oct 13: A career guidance session was organized at Lourdes Central School by Lions Club for classes 11 and 12 Science batch on Wednesday, October 12. The session began with a prayer song sung by the school choir. Principal Fr Robert Dsouza, welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person Prof Ronald Pinto. He also motivated the students to strive hard and reach excellence.

The session by professor Ronald Pinto started with singing an Ice breaking activity. He apprised the students with various career options such as medical, engineering, general courses, ITI courses, Pure and applied Sciences etc. He guided and instructed the students about various exams, colleges and job opportunities in each field. He also shared details about the prospects and opportunities one can find in foreign countries.

Furthermore the students interacted with the resource person and a question and answer session was held. Various students expressed their queries and came to know about wider scopes which are available to them. The students were greatly benefitted.

The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Matthew Chacko of class 11A. The entire programme was compered by Riya of class 11B.
