Mangaluru, Sep 15: Mount Carmel Central School (MCCS) was graced by the presence of the superior general of the Apostolic Carmel Congregation, Sr Maria Nirmalini on September 14.
The staff accorded a traditional poorna kumbha swagatham as she arrived into the school campus. Invoking the divine blessings, a prayer session was held in the hall.
Highlighting the various roles of a teacher in Mount Carmel Central School, the teaching and the non- teaching staff curated a creative introductory presentation, as they placed various blocks together, to create a complete three-dimensional model of the school.
The principal, Sr Melissa, in her welcome address gave a felicitous introduction of Sr Maria Nirmalini, while teacher Rosamma welcomed her with a bouquet of roses.
Further, the superior general, Sr Maria Nirmalini addressed the gathering, stimulating the staff with her insightful message. She motivated the faculty to strengthen their innovative teaching methods and also to become innovative thinkers and learners. Asserting the need to transcend beyond the knowledge of the subjects, she inspired the staff to think out of the box. Sister Nirmalini emphasized to strengthen the bonding with the students by being sensitive to their emotional life and thus leave an imprint in their hands.
Teacher Jacqueline proposed a vote of thanks and teacher Ananya Sneha compared the programme.
While the session imprinted enriching thoughts in the minds of the faculty, it also inscribed a sense of joy and gratitude in every member of the Mount Carmel family.
