Recipes - Millet Steamed Cake

Ingredients:
1 cup barnyard millet
1/3 cup urad dal
¼ tsp. fenugreek
½ cup coriander leaves
¼ " ginger (grated)
1 green chilly (finely minced)
¼ cup grated coconut
Salt as per taste
Oil for greasing
1 tbsp ghee (optional)
1 tbsp cashew nuts (optional)
Method:
Wash millet and dal well and soak in water for 3 to 4 hours along with fenugreek seeds.
Later grind adding little water. Mix well and seet it to ferment oversight or for about 8 hours.
Add water in a steaming pot and bring to a boil.
Add salt, grated ginger, minced chilly, coconut and cashew nuts (optional) to the fermented millet batter and mix gently.
Grease a plate and pour the batter and steam for 25 to 30 minutes in the steaming pot.
Serve with chutney and melted ghee.
