Ingredients:
2 cups sickle senna
1 cup drumstick leaves
10-12 jackfruit seeds
¾ cup grated coconut
1 large onion
3-4 long red chillies
2 tbsp. coriander
1 tsp. jeera
2 tbsp. brown rice
1 tbsp. oil
1 tsp. mustard
2 sprigs curry leaves
Salt as per taste
Method:
Wash the leaves well. Cut the jackfruit seeds into pieces. Powder chilly along with coriander and jeera. Dry roast rice until it puffs up. Once cooled coarsely powder it and set aside.
In a pot cook jackfruit seeds along with water until half cooked. Then add onion and the leaves. Keep on slow flame. Add powdered masala and salt. Cook until done. In another pan, heat oil, splutter mustard, add curry leaves and coconut and sauté until light brown in color. Mix this to the cooked leaves and bring to a boil. Lastly add powdered rice.
Serve with steamed rice or congie.
