Recipes - Easy Chicken Roast

Ingredients:
1 kg whole chicken ( skinned with deep slits)
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. chilli powder
1 tsp. turmeric powder
2 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. garam masala
½ tsp.chaat masala
2 tbsp. yoghurt/ labneh
1 tbsp. ginger garlic paste
A few drops of red food color (optional)
4 - 5 tbsp. oil
Salt as per taste
Method:
Mix chilly powder, turmeric powder, honey, garam masala, chaat masala, ginger garlic paste adding yoghurt, red color and salt. Apply this over and inside the chicken well. Set it aside in the refrigerator overnight or at least for 1 to 2 hours. In a large casserole or cooking pot, heat around 4-5 large tbsp of oil, then place the chicken, back side first. Pour some leftover marinade over it. Let it cook on low to medium high flame covered, for about 10-15 mts. Then turn it over, pour the remaining marinade over it and let it cook covered for another 15 mts.
To serve, place chicken first in the dish and drizzle the excess sauce over it. Splash of fresh lemon juice completes the dish.
