Recipes - Methi Chicken Curry

Ingredients
½ Kg. Chicken (skinned)
1 cup methi leaves
1 cup coriander leaves
6 green chillies
1” ginger
3 cloves garlic
½ cup grated coconut
1 large onion (sliced)
1 tomato (sliced)
3 cloves
2 cardamoms
4 pepper corns
2-3 tbsp. oil / ghee
1 potato (optional)
Salt as per taste
Method:
Clean the chicken, cut it into medium pieces and keep aside. Grind together methi leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, ginger, garlic along with coconut into a smooth thick paste.
Now in a vessel or cooker heat oil and splutter the spices. Now add the sliced onion and fry till light brown. Also add tomato & potato (optional) and fry for another 2 mts. Add chicken and the masala and mix well adding little water along with salt. Cook till chicken is tender on medium fire. Serve with Ghee or Jeera rice.
