Mangaluru, Sep 14: 'Libraries change lives for the better'. They store the energy that fuels the imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspire students to explore, achieve and contribute to improving the quality of their lives.
The inaugural ceremony of a newly set up library 'Knowledge Bank' for the students of class 11 and 12 was held on September 3, in the new block.
Aastha Khandelwal of class 12C welcomed the gathering. Later she invited the principal Fr Robert D’souza, vice-principal Anita Thomas and the literary minister Brinda of Class 12C to cut the ribbon and formally inaugurate 'LCS Knowledge Bank'.
This was followed by issue of a book by the literary minister from The Knowledge Bank, along with entry in the new library register signed by the principal, the library in-charge and the literary minister.
The principal addressed the students and encouraged them to make best use of the newly set library. He also thanked the teachers and students for their genuine efforts in making the ceremony a successful one.
The ceremony was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Riddhi N Hegde of class 12C.
