Kasargod, Apr 21: A student suffered fatal fall from the upper storey of a building under construction at Kadambar near Manjeshwar in the taluk on Tuesday April 19. She has been identified as Deeksha (15), a tenth standard student of Vidyavardhaka High School, Meeyapadavu, and daughter of K Vasu and Vanaja living near Kadambar Chaukar Guliga Daivasthana.
A new house is coming up near the family’s residence in Kadambar. Deeksha went up the storey through stairs and was walking along the sunshade of the storey, when the sunshade snapped under her weight. Deeksha, who fell to the ground, was provided first aid at a private hospital in Uppala.
She breathed her last while being shifted to a private hospital in Mangalore. She had appeared for the recent SSLC examination.
