Bengaluru, Aug 15: Students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Alliance University came together with full fervor to celebrate the 75th year of Independence.

The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is the celebration of 75 years of freedom marking the struggle and the achievements of Indians in every sphere of life. India that was left with very little when it got freedom, is today one of the most powerful countries and economies of the world. A superpower to reckon with in areas that span across agriculture, manufacturing, defense, medicine, education, space, and much more.

Members of Alliance University marched together in a walkathon to mark the celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Dressed in the shades of the tricolor, Alliance University students, faculty, staff, and alumni walked across from different blocks of the university to the ground where the grand celebration and the National flag hoisting too place. Women representatives from different academic units and departments of the university joined in to unfurl the Indian National Flag hoisted at the sports ground. The waving flag, the sound of the national anthem, the tricolored balloons let in the skies, had everyone at the venue have their chests swelled up with the patriotic ardor.

The flag hoisting was followed by a host of patriotic speeches by the leaders and alumni of Alliance University. Later a series of colorful programmes were representing the different cultures of the country were presented by the students of the university.

The programme ended with a prize distribution ceremony wherein faculty, staff and students who were part of various competitions around the theme of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and the Foundation Day of Alliance University were felicitated with medals and certificates.

The event would stay fresh in the minds and memories of all members of the university that was soaked in the shades of the tricolor and had the flavor of Amrit of freedom flow through each and every participant.
